Another Wednesday night home game at Lake Olmstead Stadium where the Augusta Greenjackets won 3-1 over the Savannah Sand Gnats! Minor league baseball is great.

Augusta Rain

One thing I've noticed since moving to Augusta is that the weather can change from rainy and gloomy to sunny and bright in a very short amount of time. Moments after taking this photo, it did just that.

Abandoned Warehouse

Because of it's location on the Savannah River, Augusta played a major role in the cotton industry. While some of the old warehouses have been converted to restaurants, galleries and business offices, many remain unused. This one caught my eye because the bricks retained their vibrant color. I suspect that the green paint on the doors are decades newer.

Sunday Bridge

Herbs in a Container

I can't remember how many bunches of fresh herbs have withered in my fridge over the years. Now, things will be different. A few weeks ago I purchased seedlings of basil, thyme, rosemary and chives. I am happy to report that they all seem to be thriving. I prune almost daily. A few snips here and there to add chives to my cream cheese spread, rosemary to a chicken dish or basil to a pasta sauce. I think the snipping even makes them flourish. For a big-city girl transplant - this is fabulous!

Rocking Chair

There was a soft drizzle for most of the day with brief moments of sun shining through. I was determined to take some images, but I wasn't too anxious to get myself or my camera wet. So, I stepped out on the veranda this morning and snapped a few shots. I have my morning coffee and sometimes evening wine here, when weather permits.
