"Chairity" Auction

When the new Augusta Richmond County Public Library opened in June of last year, the former mid-century library building with it's mid-century furnishings was closed. Shortly after the closing, most of the tables, desks, chairs, book shelves, etc. were auctioned off. Sixty Eames molded plastic chairs were not sold. Instead, they have been re-designed and embellished by 23 artists, architects and interior designers to be sold at an auction on October 20th for the benefit the Augusta Public Library.
